Pinned topic Write XML file

‏2010-12-20T21:14:50Z |
Hi,
I have a few different orchestrations that execute a query and return rows with the same columns. I run these sequentially at night. I would like for the results of the query to be written as xml to a file. I have this working with an Execute Query -> Write XML -> Put File. The issue is, each orchestration will append the full xml to the file. I woudl liek each orchestration to write just teh <rows> data and not the xml a level above that. So after all orchestrations run, They have appended their rows to the file and I have 1 XML document. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Andrew

    No need to overcomplicate this

You don't need the write XML, that takes an XML structure and turns it into a string. You just write the file out and point at the XML schema that has your structure.
Scheduled Job -> Execute Query (rows) -> Put File (rows) ->Log Success
You may have to define the row structure as an XML Schema for the Put File, but that's not too difficult.
You can specify whether to replace or append when you PUT.
