Dear All,

I'm trying to get cplex and Rcplex to run together on a linux 64 machine and it ain't easy.
basically trying to follow the instruction there:

http://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/Rcplex/INSTALL

and got:

root@kaveh-OptiPlex-760:~# CPLEX_INCLUDE_PATH=/root/ILOG/CPLEX_Studio_AcademicResearch122/cplex/include/ilcplex
root@kaveh-OptiPlex-760:~# CPLEX_LIB_PATH=/root/ILOG/CPLEX_Studio_AcademicResearch122/cplex/lib/x86-64_sles10_4.1
root@kaveh-OptiPlex-760:~# R CMD INSTALL \
> --configure-args="--with-cplex-include=${CPLEX_INCLUDE_PATH} \
> --with-cplex-cflags=-fPIC \
> --with-cplex-lib='-L${CPLEX_LIB_PATH}/static_pic \
> -lcplex -lm -lpthread'" /home/kaveh/Documents/Rcplex_0.3-0.tar.gz
  • installing to library ‘/home/kaveh/R/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-library/2.12’
  • installing source package ‘Rcplex’ ...

configure: error: CPLEX header cplex.h not found

I'm a bit puzzled by the error as
root@kaveh-OptiPlex-760:~# cd /root/ILOG/CPLEX_Studio_AcademicResearch122/cplex/include/ilcplex
ls

gives
cplex.h ilocarray.h ilocplexi.h ilogoals.h solution.xsl
ilm.h ilocplex.h iloextrmgr.h solution.xsd

so why can't it find cplex.h ?

Any idea what i could try next ?

Thanks in advance,
