Pinned topic change data capture 6.5 for db2 on aix configuration tool error

‏2011-04-27T07:37:23Z |
Hi, All

I was trying infosphere change data capture 6.5 lately, the environment is aix 6.1, access server installation was smooth, but I run into trouble when I tried to configure cdc for db2 on another aix box which have db2 v9.5 installed already.

I tried to run configure tool, but it said "IBM DB2 version 9 or later has not been installed, or the DB2 environment has not been initialized. Could not run "{0}"", it could not find any instances on that aix host.

I checked the trace log, I found an exception which said "could not run db2ilist on /opt/IBM/ITM/db2/instance, no such file or directory, java.io.IOException". I went to that dir, db2ilist was there, any user could run it. I used even root.

Am I the only one to find this?
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Allan

I am not familiar with this specific failure. However, usually environment issues can be fixed by running the db2profile script located in the db2 instance directory. If this doesn't work, I would recommend opening a PMR.
