Pinned topic how to use traceroute with icmp packets?

‏2011-04-20T10:15:55Z |
Hello all!

I was wondering if any of you could direct me to (even an opensource) implementation of traceroute that can use icmp packets?

I'm having a strange issue, that udp packets can't get through, but ping works to the target server.

So I would like to have the feature like in other unix derivates to probe with icmp packets.

Thank you in advance!

I've installed the "old" traceroute-1.4a12-2.aix4.3.ppc.rpm package from the linux toolbox, and it has the -I switch to use ICMP packets. Worked on 5300-11-04-1015.
