Pinned topic Delete thread and unallowed text

‏2011-04-20T08:29:07Z |
Hi,

how can I delete the following wrong posts:
https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=368640 &tstart=0
https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=368639 &tstart=0

When posting, the system told me that I my post contained unallowed text... is there a way to find out what text was not allowed? I had to experiment, which resulted in two post I cannot delete or change.
Thanks, Marc

    Hi Marc,

I have deleted the two threads.

Apologies for the inconvenience this has caused. Our forums have been the target of a large number of spam posts in recent months. We are in the process of refining our filters to reduce the likelihood of a legitimate post such as yours being rejected. It is our policy however not to inform the user of what specific text is causing the problem because we feel that plays into the hands of the spammers.
If you encounter this issue in the future, you can use the test forum to experiment and determine what in your post is being disallowed and then return to the actual forum you want to post to. The test forum is here:

I understand the reasoning behind not giving immediate bad word feedback, but could we have something like a technote or a post with a pdf attachment that has the list of bad words (and the pdf would have to be updated in a reasonable manner)?
I would think that that would be circuitous enough for automations not to find it.
