    • When you create an annotation with a feature in LRW, the export to ICA dialog won't let you select the feature for mapping to an ICA field and facet.
    * You can hand-edit the cas2index.xml file that's generated to get around this restriction. The file is in the conf/ directory of the .pear file created. Once you've saved your changes, you can associate it to the collection in the admin screen where you associate the custom pear file.
    * The cas2index entry should look like this for mapping a feature of lastName to an ICA field called lastname:

    <style name="Field">
    <attribute name="fixedName" value="lastname"/>
    <attribute name="valueFeature" value="lastName[0]/uima.tcas.Annotation:coveredText()"/>
    </style>
