If you run the command "db2 -td@ -vf DWsetup.db2" then DB2 expects the file DWsetup.db2 to be in the current (local) directory where you issue the db2 command. Confirm that the file exists in the local dir, or use an absolute path to the file. Also check that you have file system permissions to read the file.

Note that the file extension .db2 does not have a predefined meaning or behavior. It's just a text file, so you could rename it to .txt or .sql if you'd like. There is also nothing special in terms of permissions. It's the operating system that defines the file permissions. For example, in UNIX or LINUX you would use the chmod command to set the permissions.

It may also be an issue of how your UNIX or LINUX shell is configured. Have you tried preceding the filename by a ./ or by an absolute path?:

    db2 -td@ -vf ./DWsetup.db2
    db2 -td@ -vf /home/matthias/myscripts/DWsetup.db2

Can you display the content of this file on the OS command line with an OS command such as "more"?
