Pinned topic Java newbie

‏2011-04-07T17:26:22Z |
Hello all ... I'm new to Java, however I have done C & C++ programming as well as micro-processor assembler.

I'm writing a LU6.2 application that has to read a 200 byte string of "display ascii" data from a file into a string array. I then issue a CPI-C SEND of this string array out to my LU6.2 session partner

The program doesn't care what's in the 200 byte string (it's incumbant upon the requester to properly format the request)

I just need to know how to properly define a 200 byte string array in Java. Everything I've read thus far give simplistic examples of 10 element integer arrays...

any ideas and/or suggestions would be most welcome

Thanks

Guy
