Pinned topic SSH : connection refused.

‏2011-03-17T10:45:55Z |
Hi guys,

I'm new here and I really need your advice.
After installing 3rd party software last week I'm unable to establish a ssh connection to one of our LPAR's.
Some change where made to the resolv, named and host files. I also started up a named server and installed the required software.

I do NOT have access to the HMC.
Telnet connections is not allowed.

What can I do? Please help

The Out put of "ssh -v -v –v username@hostname" is as follows.
"OpenSSH_5.2p1, OpenSSL 0.9.8k 25 Mar 2009
debug1: Reading configuration data /etc/ssh/ssh_config
debug1: Failed dlopen: /usr/krb5/lib/libkrb5.a(libkrb5.a.so): 0509-022 Cannot load module /usr/krb5/lib/libkrb5.a(libkrb5.a.so).
0509-026 System error: A file or directory in the path name does not exist.

debug1: Error loading Kerberos, disabling Kerberos auth.
debug2: ssh_connect: needpriv 0
debug1: Connecting to 196.29.254.171 http://196.29.254.171 port 22.
debug1: Connection established.

debug1: identity file /.ssh/identity type -1
debug1: identity file /.ssh/id_rsa type -1

Kind regards
Henk

    now what is it?

are you authorized to use the server, then you should be able to talk to the server administrator and have him look into the server log, grepping for your client ip at least.

how do you manage to use this forum without help from a grown-up?

Are you trying to use ssh_keys? I think AIX is trying to use a wrong key, to log in without password, are not finding the correct one.

Can you log using ftp or sftp?
