Pinned topic could not pick the discovered network whil adding network interface in HA

‏2011-03-15T13:37:37Z |
Hi,

I installed HA 5.5 on AIX 5300-12-02-1036 without any error. then did configuration as follows:

1. in /etc/hosts (both servers) i've defined:
#boot IPs
10.10.10.1 DBNode1_en0_bootip
10.20.10.1 DBNode1_en1_bootip

10.10.10.2 DBNode2_en0_bootip
10.20.10.2 DBNode2_en1_bootip

#Persistent IPs
172.17.10.30 host1_persistent_ip
172.17.10.31 host2_persistent_ip

#service IP
172.17.10.100 db_svc_ip
2. created cluster name on both servers

3. created two nodes on both the servers
4. done discovery and showed everything fine.
5. And here i encountered the problem while adding communication interface. smitty hacmp>extended configuration>Extended topology configuration>Configure HACMP Communication Interface/Device>Add Communication Interfaces/Devices>Add Discovered Communication Interface and Devices>Communication Interface>ALL after this the screen should show the list of discovered boot IP list but it was showing nothing at all. I've also attached the screen shot for this.

Note: Then i tried the same thing with AIX 6100-00-00-0000 and all other configuration and HA version are same as mentioned above. It worked fine for me.

So can any one put some light on this issue.

Thanks

Do it through "Predefined" option in which you do not have option to selct things..instead you have to create them manually. Like create network, node and assign address etc manually and then sync.

Thanks for your response Mr. Bishwokarma.
I've never done it manually. I'll try it today and let you know about it.

    Thank you

By the way , the topic is quite different now, do you have any suggesstion for tunning parameter for disk heartbeat?

    Thank you

What is the problem which you are facing with regards to disk heart beat for which you need to tune it?
I assume that the disk which you are using is shared and its attribute is also set to "no_reserve".
