Pinned topic 6221 POST Slow Initializing

‏2011-02-14T20:46:39Z |
Hi, I'm Luigi.

I'm new in this forum, I hope I created this tread in the right place...

I possess an Intellistation Z Pro (6221) with this features:

2.80 GHz Intel Xenon Processor
1 GB Ram
30 GB SCSI HD
Windows XP Pro 32-bit SP3
I decided to install the Flash BIOS update v1.51c (that I found in the IBM Supportal Portal) because I had an automatic-restart problem after some Windows Updating.

Now the "restart problem" is fixed.

But, during the start-up, the "Initializing" process (during POST) is really slower then befor (about 30-40 seconds).

Can anyone tell me why this appens and if it's possible to make this process faster?

Is it necessary another update?

Is it possible to reinstall the older BIOS version?

Thank you!

    Hi,

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this forum is focused around the IBM System z Enterprise Server, so I regret to say that you may not get an answer to your question.
