Pinned topic SAP protection with fastback

‏2011-01-27T23:42:24Z |
Hello,

I have a suse linux server with SAP-DB2,

Any idea on how Fastback protects SAP?

Is it similar to TSM for ERP?

Do I need to use pre-post schedules scripts?

Thanks!

As this point FastBack doesn't provides any out-of-the box support for SAP. It's possible to use pre-snapshot/post-snapshot scripts to integrate with SAP applications on protected server, but they will have to be developed by customer.

Addition - customer can use scripts for integrating FastBack with DB2 and Oracle as examples. Those scripts are supplied within a standard FastBack package.
