Pinned topic Can IBM JCA Adapter for FTP communicate with mainframe ?

‏2011-01-13T23:50:16Z |
We are using the legacy WBI JTextAdapter to send our delimited file to the mainframe currently.

ex.
varible used by the adapter showing below.
ResponseFileName=ftp://login:pwd@testserver.testint/'PRDTEST.PIPMTET01.SQ.TESTRESPO'

We are thinking of replacing the old adapter, however, we are not sure whether IBM JCA Adapter for FTP can communicate with mainframe like above.

    You can use IBM WebSphere Adapter for FTP to connect to the mainframe machine. In your case, outbound create module configured with Delimited datahandler can be used to send files to the FTP directory on the mainframe machine.

    Infocenter for FTP Adapter : http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/dmndhelp/v7r0mx/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.wsadapters.jca.ftp.doc/doc/stbp_ftp_welcome.html

    Some samples are here: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/bpcsamp/index.html
