According to upgrade documents, firmware upgrade sequence for DS4000/DS5000 is following:
1. Storage Manager (obvious)
2. Controller Code
however, people on this forum suggest to reverse last three, i.e to go for:
4. Controller Code
As far as I understand this suggestion when someone is DOWNGRADING firmware, I am not convinced it makes sense (or difference) when one UPGRADEs.
So, lets solve it once forever - is there any point in reversing the sequence if you are going for a newer firmware?

I've always upgraded firmware in the following order and never had any issues. (Besides the firmware itself.)
