I need to increase the DASD capacity for my zLinux Mainframe server to accomodate high volume in the application.
But the cost seems to be huge.
Can anyone tell alternate approch to avoid the cost of aditional DASD, if any?
Is there any other alternate to DASD for zLinux Mainframe servers?

Re: Alternate approach to DASD for z/Linux on Mainframe2010-12-21T08:44:21ZThis is the accepted answer. This is the accepted answer. Are you using Ficon/CKD? Have you considered SCSI? SCSI is more prolific and you might be able to share with some of your other distributed servers?
Also, I've found that the linux-390, and ibmvm mailing lists are the best places for Linux on System z questions.
