Pinned topic vPC support VIO servers

‏2010-12-13T23:10:35Z |
We are planning to make Etherchannel on VIO server. I know AIX support maximum 8 ports for etherchannel.
( Link Aggregation). I know this supports only when plugged into single switch. However , Cisco engineer told me that their switch is configured for vPC ( virtual port channel)and we can take
multiple ports from multiple switches to configure etherchannel.

My question is, VIO server support this Virtual Port channel ( vPC)?

Thanks

From what I can tell, vPC has not been tested with VIOS. If you require this solution, you should raise it as a requirement to IBM.
