Pinned topic Can partner users be defined by LDAP instead of the WPG console?

‏2010-12-08T04:38:08Z |
Hi,

My scenario:

When my receiver receives a SOAP request, it reads the authentication details which contains the DUNS of the particular external partner it wants to receive the message along with a username and password to confirm that the requester is known.

Currently, i have created this user using the WPG console and the 'Users' menu under the particular External Partner.

Is it possible to use Users from LDAP instead of ones created from the console?

If so, how do i go about doing this?

Thanks,
Joe

    Joe,

In addition to using WebSphere Partner Gateway partner registry for console authentication, WebSphere Partner Gateway supports Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) container-based authentication that uses the WebSphere Application Server authentication mechanism. WebSphere Application Server supports 3 types of authentication:

    1. LDAP registry
    2. Local operating system registry
    3. Custom registry

Hope this helps. Regards , Arjan
