I am trying to do a fresh setup of Cognos BI 10 on a Windows 2008 32-bits server. I have installed DB2 9.7 FP2 in order to host the Cognos Content Store. I have followed all the steps in order to configure the database (tablespaces, buffer pools and so on). Also, I have copied the db2jcc.jar an license files to the corresponding folder . I can even test the connection to the database from Cognos Configuration (type 4).
However, when I try to start the Cognos Service, the database is never populated with the expected tables. The process of starting the service always ends with a time-out warning.
Many thanks in advanced.

Guidelines for Creating the Content Store in DB2 on Linux, UNIX, or Windows
A script named C8DB2.sh is provided to allow you to create a database in DB2 on Linux operating
system for System z that you can use for the content store. The script is located in the c10_location\C8SE directory after you install IBM Cognos BI. For more information about using the script,
see "Create a Database for a DB2 Content Store on Linux Using a Script" (p. 149).
there is no C8SE folder.
Any ideas what's wrong ? Anyone created CS from scrach on Cognos 10.1 ?

Found script in:
chaneged user name and db name run and now it works.
BTW if this is correct place to find this script some changes in documentation would be a good idea.

I have tried with that script but still not working.
When I configure the Content Store database in Cognos Configuration, and test it, seems that everything goes fine, but the test table is not created.
Re: Cognos BI 10 installation with DB2 Content Store2011-02-09T03:11:10ZThis is the accepted answer. This is the accepted answer.Tried to install Cognos BI 10.1.0, got stuck at the same place. The infocenter documentation is certainly wrong. However, I don't see the "content" sub-directory in "/opt/ibm/cognos/c10_64/configuration/schemas/". Did I do anything wrong? Do I need to find and run the script to create the database on DB2?
