Pinned topic Please explain the 2TB limits and if they still exist

‏2010-11-24T15:58:24Z |
I noticed article https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=331701&tstart=0 where it states that there is a 2TB volume limit for the client.

-Is this still a limitation?
-If yes, is there a plan to go beyond this? If yes... When?
What is the limitation on the FastBack Server for storage?

Thanks!

    There is still a limitation.
Full fix for this limitation (backup, virtual mount, instant restore and all other functionality on volumes bigger then 2TB) is planned for next major release of FastBack.

What is the ballpark date for the update?

Is there also a 2TB limit on the "client" side? (eg if
the client can see a 5TB volume, will the FastBack
client have any problems dealing with it?
