Pinned topic javax.faces.STATE_SAVING_METHOD

‏2010-10-26T11:03:19Z |
Hi all:

I have changed the value of context param javax.faces.STATE_SAVING_METHOD to client.

Now we are looking for a hidden field named ViewState inside the rendered html as JSF standard specification says when
setting state saving method to client, but We din't find it. We need this hidden field for use third party JSF components.

Any one knows why the hidden field ViewState doesn't appears??
What we have to do??

Thanks in advance!!

The name of the hidden input field depends on JSF implementation you are using.

Thanks for your fast reply Yurykats.

    Then our question is.

Using R.App.Develop. v7.5, We can change project JSF implementation and
continue using some IBM Enhanced Faces components or they need IBM's JSF implementation???

    Thank you very much!

You should be able to use any jsf 1.x compliant implementation and the Enhanced components. If you are using a Websphere server you may want to do some searching of issues overriding the jsf runtime that is part of the server.
