Pinned topic Auto Comment Preferences - Where is the COBOL Profile?

‏2010-10-21T20:24:01Z |
In the Preferences for the Auto Comment feature, there are 7 Language Profiles, but none for COBOL. Any suggestions for setting up a simple COBOL marking feature that would put a static string in cols 1-6?

Throwing this back to the forefront. I know there is Auto comment on LPEX Editor, does the COBOL editor have something similar?

I am also interested in this, if anyone ever presents a solution.

In RDz version 8.5.1 we did introduce a COBOL language profile for the Auto Comment preference/feature.  However, it is only for the LPEX editor and it by default is configured to add the comments in columns 73-80. This can easily be reconfigured for columns 1-6 if so desired.

As for the COBOL Editor, there is an open RFE that you could vote on: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewRfe&CR_ID=24187
