The quick way to do it for a single field is to
    1. put a Data Field Modifier on the field,
    2. In the Formatter section select the StandardFormatter
    3. Choose Format(Data$Display) and Translate(Data$Display).

The argument that these both take is, in your case, yyyyMMdd$yyyy-MM-dd

You can set these as your formatter and translater in an RDD file. If you are using Factory 7.0, you can set it up in your default RDD file so that all date fields will automatically get this behavior.
