Pinned topic Everything Extended Format?

‏2010-09-22T13:46:01Z |
Greetings.

Suppose I made Extended Format (Preferred) the default for everything but System-data sets (Lpalib, Linklib, etc.), are there any pitfalls to watch out for?

There are a few data sets which do not support extended format. The ones that I found and can mention are SAS, FOCUS, BDT, FTP, ISPF Edit Recovery data set and MOVE for DB2.

Hmmm. The data set-types you mentioned, are in use at our sites. Not sure about FOCUS or BDT, but we're definitely heavy users of the other types.

Looks like there's enough to watch out for. Thanks.
