I'm using the z/OS USS environment to compile C++ code using the XL C++ compiler.
I wonder if there's a way to determine the compiler version (not the z/OS version).
If I execute 'xlc++ -V' I'm getting two lines (among other things) like:
FSUM0000I Utility(xlc) Level(UK37935.z1r10)
z/OS V1.10 XL C/C++
Is the first line the actual compiler version ?

Re: XL C++ compiler version/release for z/OS USS2010-03-22T00:26:16ZThis is the accepted answer. This is the accepted answer.Hello,
Based on the lines you included, the compiler version is V1R10.
UK37935 maintenance level
z1r10| compiler version
Alternatively, you can compile with -qphaseid to get the maintenance and compiler version.
