‏2010-07-29T11:56:22Z |
Hello,

I have installed TBSM 421 FP 02. But After installing TBSM FP 02 I am getting following error on TIP when i try to access services through Administration >> Service Administration and Selecting Services from the Services Navigation Panel

Error is

There are no service instances to display. No services have been defined or you are not authorized to view services.

I am also Attaching the Screen Capture for more information.

Before Installing FP Everything was working fine..but now i a facing this problem

Thanks and Regards

    Hello,

This has recently happened to us. TBSM has been up and working for a month, two days ago the services disapeared from the service tree. I restarted the server and they appeared again, but today it happened again and restarting the server y not a viable solution.

I'd recommend opening a PMR to formally take this through the Support process.

Somehow after a couple of hours, and without doing anything the service tree is displaying again.

    kalpesh,

I think this is a postgres issue, and it has happened to me after restarting the tbsm server FP 02 or not. This is what I do now after I restart the server: /opt/IBM/tivoli/tbsm/pgsql8/bin/vacuumdb -f -z -p 5435 -U tivoli rad

I read about vaccuming the postgres database here:
    http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/wikis/display/tivolibsm/Tivoli+Business+Service+Manager+4.2.1+Performance+Tuning+Recommendations#TivoliBusinessServiceManager4.2.1PerformanceTuningRecommendations-VacuumingtheTBSMDatabase

Under 6.2 Vacuuming the TBSM Database

Also I have set a cron job that will execute the vacuuming once a day.

    Regards,
    Felipe
