Pinned topic CSM Question

I have a management servers and 3 client servers, but now there are two servers can not rsync the user and passwd files from management server. After I check the cfm error log ,the error logs are as below,

iesg0201: rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes read so far)
iesg0201: rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(342)
iesg0201: ksh: rsync: not found.

The node I checked is still online.

    Since cfmupdatenode depends on rsync service. So it seems the rsync on your nodes has errors, I think it's better for you to try rsync command from your MS to your nodes directly and see what the error is. After the rsync works fine, you can try CSM cfmupdatenode command again.

    BTW, I get the rsync FAQ by google, please see your problem in Q #3, hope this help:

    As you know , the rsync only installed in management server, not in client server. I have no idea how to check the rsync service. Can you show me how to check the rsync? Thanks.

    I do not know where you get the understanding of rsync only installing on MS, not MN :)

    This is the information from CSM publication 《Administration Guide》:

    cfmupdatenode command
    The cfmupdatenode command distributes configuration files or directories throughout the cluster. The file
    transfer mechanism used for CFM on the management server - rdist or rsync - must also be installed on
    the target nodes. For example, to distribute files or directories to all cluster nodes, run cfmupdatenode -a.
