Pinned topic Cannot stop Make

‏2010-06-01T14:51:24Z |
When I go to build the software and I get errors, I want to stop the build. However, I cannot click on the stop button, or any other buttons in Rhapsody. The software is basically hanging, but I can still see in the build output window that it is continuing to build. Since it takes forever for the software to build, I can't afford to sit around and wait for it to finish a build with errors. Any suggestions?

I do not recall but I think there exist a property enabling which the build will stop immediately after the first error is encountered... May be a seach at project level property would help you to find it...

    Hi

I don't know a property. Waht I know is that you can abort any build when you place an empty file named "abort_code_gen" in the directory where the code is generated.

Another thing to try is to set CG::General::BuildErrorHandling to 'code'.

This won't stop the make, but sure speeds it up (at least for us).
