Pinned topic delete imported read only partition

‏2010-04-26T08:53:11Z |
I imported a partition with a read only module into my project. Now I need to delete the module since I've choosen the wrong project. Since there are only "read only" rights I can't delete the module.
I tried:
  • change the access rights (not possible on a imported module)
  • import a new partition with delete rights (not possible read only module already exists)

I use DOORS 9.0

How can I delete the module?

You likely need to be logged in as the Administrator to do this.

I'm signed in as administrator - but still can't delete the module.
Are there any special administrator accounts?

You need to get rid of the Partition. Don't recall the commands, but its still defined for that wrong project.

In the Imported Partition Tab, do a Return operation on the read-only partition. This should remove it.

I did the same thing and I tried the return partition command as suggested in one of the other responses, but receive an error due to insufficient access. Have you been able to delete the imported partition yet?

I changed access rights on imported partition/module(s) and then did a return and selected the radio button to delete after return and my read-only partition/module(s) was then deleted. Not sure if that will make a difference, but it worked or me.
