Pinned topic Subscribing to an asset using the RAM API?

Can someone point me in direction of how to subscribe to an asset using the RAM API? I see the way via the RAM UI, but not via the API.

There is currently no API for subscribing a user to an asset.

Ok, thanks. Is there a way to determine if a user is already subscribed to an asset? I'm trying to notify all users that are currently subscribed to an asset that the asset's state has changed.

State change events should already be sent automatically to any user subscribed to an asset. These emails may be sent at different times, as some users select immediate subscriptions and others longer (day, week, month).

If this is not sufficient, there is some information available about reporting URLs that may be of use. The help topic for subscriptions is available here: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/ramhelp/v7r1m1/topic/com.ibm.ram.web.doc/topics/t_subscriptions.html. This will probably provide you with a list of events that would need to be parsed in order to gather the addresses to notify.
