Pinned topic Problem CIFS in Nseries
I have a nSeries 6070 serving CIFS and when approximately 1500 users connect simultaneously, it stops giving service CIFS and it is necessary to restart the service.
This failure it has given two times, and coincides with the following informative message:
Message: All CIFS control blocks for the STANDARD pool are in use. The request for a new control block can not be granted.
1500 users connect to the nSeries to execute the Logon Script simultaneously and in addition they create a mapping to a folder lodged at the nSeries
The version of nSeries is 18.104.22.168L1, and each controller has 70 HDD SATA (500Gb).
Which can be the problem?

You could place a service call with IBM and they will supply it to you, or send me a private message.

I need your expertise on nseries cifs issue, we keep encountering cifs issue (stop sergving data) below are the logs from etc
Tue May 7 15:20:08 EST [RED-ems.engine.inputSuppress: Event 'cifs.stats.pBlkExhaust' suppressed 281458 times since Tue May 7 14:20:08 EST 2013.
Tue May 7 15:20:08 EST [RED-cifs.stats.pBlkExhaust: CIFS: All CIFS control blocks for the STANDARD pool are in use. The request for a new control block can not be granted.
We raised incidnet to IBM and IBm recommend to increase the value of the cifs multiplex, but still problem re-occur once or twice a month.
Is there any resolution on these issue? Please help
