Pinned topic Mass Asset Move

Is there a way to select a group of assets in one community and move them to another existing community? I have not had luck finding any documentation or topics on this.

    What version of you using?

First in version 7.1 and later if you delete a community you have the option of having all of the assets moved to a different community.

In version 7.1.1.1 we have bulk operations. From the search assets results you can hit the "Modify these assets" icon and this will then show all of the assets from that search result. From there you can say modify community. Then all of the assets that were selected will be moved to another community.

To move all assets in a community you would have your search result return all assets within a community and then do modify these assets.

I am using version 7.1.0.0.v20080523, but migrating to 7.2 soon.

I see that I can delete the community and move the assets but that is not something I want to do, as I only want to move about 150 of the 250 assets in the current community.

Is there a way to make a duplicate of a community with all of it's assets, delete the duplicate community, moving all of the assets to a new community, and then doing a bulk asset delete out of the original community?

No, not in 7.1.0. The function to work on more than one asset at a time doesn't exist in 7.1.0.

The only other possibility is the Rich Client Batch update. But I don't know how to use that.
