    Hello,

I am interested on this question also. In my case, running TDS 6.3 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.

My major goal using MSCS is create a virtual name for TDS (ex: ldap://TDSVirtualName:389) in order to provide failover for some applications that do not support a regular failover URL such as (ldap://TDSHost01:389 TDSHost02:389)

    Thanks,

    Carlos.

I guess nobody answer the question posted in 2010, because nobody do that.

TDS replication works great, because it is on the upper layer of replication. It has many features that database layer nor OS layer replication can handle. If you need a virtual name, you can install TDS proxy.
