Pinned topic Specifying delimiter Ç in schema file

‏2010-01-27T00:22:53Z |
In a IIS datastage parallel job, I am trying to use a schema file to specify delimiter: Ç
When I use '|' as delimiter, the input files gets parsed successfully.
But when I use 'Ç' as delimiter, all input records get rejected with following warnings:

main_program: Invalid character(s) (xC7) found converting string (code point(s): recordx0Ax09{final_delim=end, record_delim='\n', delim='xC7', charset="ASCII"}x0A(x0Ax09KEY:...) from codepage UTF-8 to Unicode, substituting.

Please let me know how can I use 'Ç' as delimiter with schema file.

    Try entering it as an escaped hex value - that is, delim='\xC7' rather than delim='Ç'. Not sure if delim accepts that syntax; some schema properties do.

    Bingo !!! There we go.
    That worked flawlessly.

    Thanks a lot for your response.

    I tried various variants like:
    delim='xC7'
    delim='&#199'
    but whenever I specied any of these, I got a message saying delimiter can be only one character, apparently because I was not using the correct escape sequence.
