Pinned topic Unable to access/login to TEPS (KFWITM402E)

‏2009-12-28T14:48:13Z |
Hi all,
my environment:
SLES 10.1
ITM 6.2.1

If i try to access TEPS using web browser, i can access to login page, but i'm not able to authenticate myself as sysadmin (and security is not yet enabled).

Error is KFWITM402E (i attach also a print screen).
I've already look at the Troubleshooting Guide, but without success.

If i try to access to TEPS using web browser in the server host, all works perfectly.
For a few days after installation, there was no problem (and i did not change anything on any configuration..).

Can anyone help me to solve this issue?

Thanks!
Regards
M

    Hi,

    what you can try is following:

    Go to "CANDLE_HOME\CNPS\kfwenv" and set the argument "KFW_USE_EMBEDDED" to "Y".

    KFW_USE_EMBEDDED=N

    Then try to login again. Please post your result.

    Hi and thanks for reply,
    i already know the solution you are proposing
    (https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=14163234&#14163234),
    but it's not enough...

    Anyway, ITM is running on Linux platform, so the corresponding file is:
    <ITM_HOME>/config/cq.ini

    Does the most recent TEPS log show the TEPS is ready to accept logins? We should see an entry like this the the most recent $CANDLEHOME/logs/<hostname>_cq_4*-01.log
    KFW1020I ********* Waiting for requests. Startup complete *********

    If that entry is not present, then the TEPS failed to start correctly and we would have to figure out why the TEPS failed to start.

    If that entry is in the TEPS log, then the TEP client is having the problem. If the TEP client is the problem, is your TEP client attempting to connect to the TEPS through a proxy?

    What error is being reported when attempting to connect with the TEP JavaWS client? The screenshot provided appears to be from the TEP browser client.
    What version of JRE is being used to load the TEP JavaWS client?

    Is the version of JRE being used for the JavaWS client the recommended version of JRE for the level of ITM your site is running?

    Hello Colls, I faced now with the same problem at v6.2.3.01.

    When I am logging in from 9 net it allows me to log in, but when I want to authenticate through at&t from home, it gives back the same error code?

    Any further tips on tis?

    I also addded into cq.ini that 3 lines which were given as supposedly can help at this kind of error messages.

    KFW_USE_EMBEDDED=Y
    KFW_STARTJVM=N
    KFW_AUTHORIZATION_USE_EWAS=N

    The environment variables listed should not be used. They will result in loss of functionality and are not meant to be a permanent solution for any issue.

    From the machine where you are trying to start the client, try to open the following URL in your browser:

    http://<teps hostname>:15200/<interface name>.ior

    where <interface name> is the name of the KFW interface configured in cq.ini. The default interface name is "cnps", but multiple interfaces can be defined (to connect through firewalls, for example).

    It should return a long string that starts with the letters "IOR:". Paste the full IOR string here and we will decode it.
