Pinned topic Dashboard work on WAS 6.x

‏2009-12-09T01:30:36Z |
Hi:
Why the project deploy on WAS 6.x was wrong, but is right on WAS CE? If I want to deploy the project on WAS 6.x,what should I do? If I want to use "SQL CALL BUILDER" on WAS 6.x,should I change some .xml files like using WAS CE?
Thank you

    Hi,
Dashboard should have no problem working with WAS 6.x. Could you tell me your WAS version, the server configuration in Designer, and the exception trace you got?

btw. You could startup your designer(eclipse) with "-debug" option, and try to publish your PF project again. If there is error, try to find exception trace in the debug console.

      Hi:
My WAS version is 6.1.And when I deploy it on WAS6.1 ,the wrong was "can't find the ***.war,so didn't copy".I don't know how to deploy on WAS6.1 .Is it like on WAS CE? Only start the server and it will be deploy auto?

Right click your project, at the bottom of the contextual menu, there is "Application Server War"->"Build war for dev testing".
If you have configured the "Deployment configuration" (you can find it in Properties of the project under WebSphere Portlet Factory section), click "Build war for dev testing" could auto deploy the project to your configured server.

btw. you can find more information at the InfoCenter -> http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wdfhelp/v6r1m2/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.dashboard.doc/wdf/wdf_gs_deployment.html

Now I can deploy on WAS6.1, but the 'SQL CALL' builder 'Fetch Datasource Name' can't fetch. How to config the xml files to fetch datasource name?
          Thank you

Pls try to restart your Eclipse, and make sure that you've configure data sources and its JNDI on the WAS server.
If it's still not work, try to re-deploy your application.

I think there is no such xml file config on WAS 6.x.

Did you create a datasource on your WAS server? Do you know how to do this?
