Pinned topic Http Response 500 when running ConfigEngine.sh Import-wcm-data

‏2009-10-11T23:40:59Z |
I'm looking for help regarding an issue I have installing PortalNOW on Linux.

I'm installing Portal Now on:

Linux Version (Red Hat Enterprise Advanced 5.3)
WebSphere Portal v6.1.0.1 (full install - not Portal Express)
I'm currently trying to import the WCM Library (as part of the PortalNOW installation guide - step 7.3), and I'm getting an error after running the following command ./ConfigEngine.sh import-wcm-data -DWasPassword <password> . This command gets part way thru and then receives a Build Failure error:

migrate 10/07/2009 12:32:43 EST Imported 544 files (100%)
migrate com.ibm.icm.command.CommandException: Import of one of more files failed.

I've attached the configtrace.log, which may provide more information.

I appreciate any help anyone can provide on this. Thanks

    Hi,

The actual error would be captured in the SystemOut.log file.

/opt/IBM/WebSphere/PortalServer/wcm/prereq.wcm/config/includes/prereq.wcm_cfg.xml:973: com.ibm.icm.jcr.migration.MigrationException: Import workspace ROOTWORKSPACE failed: Connection failed with the following HTTP response. 500 . Please check the server log for more information..: Connection failed with the following HTTP response. 500 . Please check the server log for more information.

You would need to search this log for a corresponding failure to your ConfigTrace.log file, and paste it here.

Thanks for that, I've now cross reference the error in the configtrace.log with errors in the SystemOut.log:

    SystemOut.log:

    Configtrace.log:

migrate WARNING: Unable to set the attribute icm:role: actionset:Editor,actions:Traverse,View,Edit,Add_Child,Join, for /contentRoot/icm:libraries[5]/UIControls/Content to user cn=wcmauthors,o=defaultwimfilebasedrealm. User not found.

I've attached the SystemOut.log and it looks like it may have a few issues with folder structure in Linux.

As it looks like when the ODWPortal_EN.zip is decompressed and copied over to the Linux box, somehow Linux is interpreting the folder structure slightly differently.
For exmaple the last folder in the in the zip file is called 'ibmcontentwcm%3anew%4cayout' and contains a file called:

    ibmcontentwcm%3aelement%44ata.value

However in the Linux file structure the last folder 'ibmcontentwcm%3anew%4cayou' is actually a node:

    ibmcontentwcm%3anew%4cayou.node

and no file called 'ibmcontentwcm%3aelement%44ata.value' exists.

Any ideas why this would happen under to Linux . . do you know if there is some kind of folder limitation to Linux that doesn't apply to Win OS.
