Is there a way to allow anonymous access to Business Glossary? We are trying to minimize account management on our BG install and would like to avoid having to load all non developers in the system since they would all share the same level of access. As anyone be able to do that?

Re: bypass Business Glossary prompt for non-stewards/developers2009-10-07T20:21:52Z in response to mbenitaThere are actually 2 issues mentioned:
1. Management of many glossary users
2. bypassing the login page
As the non-author users are not currently licensed per user, you can create a single anonymous that will be used by the Business Glossary browser and Business Glossary Anywhere (if you have licensed it).
If you are using LDAP as the user registry - you can assign the Glossary User role at the group level and all the users under the group will automatically inherit the role.
Using Business Glossary browser, from version 8.1.1, there is an option to remember the user and password so only a single login would be required. Business Glossary Anywhere automatically saves the user and password so after configuring the connection details (and user and password) once - which can be automated - there is no need to relogin.

We are not using BG Anywhere and were trying to find a solution to have our users not to have to enter any login information and bypass the login screen to the BG browser page. The fallback would be for us to create a simple login for all users to share but the ideal would be to log them in the system directly.

The "anonymous" user has to be defined in the IS web console ("Administration" tab) and needs to assigned a "Business Glossary User" role.
In WAS admin console: Application servers->server1->server infrastructure->Java and Process Management->Process Definition->Java Virtual Machine->Custom Properties
Add the following Java system properties (name / value):
