Pinned topic How can RM file plan path be automatically determined by a property value?

‏2009-08-21T18:47:14Z |
We are implementing RM V4.5 and migrating a large number of documents from an existing (foreign) system. Nearly all of the migrated documents will be declared as records, and we need to automatically determine the file plan path for each one based on the value of a property (a string). The "Understanding IBM FileNet Records Manager" red book says this can be done (in section 5.4.3), but does not give any examples.

Has anyone done this, or does anyone know where I can get an example showing how to do it? It could be either using a custom declaration workflow, or using the Java API- we don't care which.

You should look at this document.

IBM FileNet Records Manager 4.5 Performance Best Practices

    http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21330987&aid=1

You will not find code there, but several queries on how to perform certain RM implementations, and various cases. Its a really good document.
