Pinned topic Filtering requests

‏2009-07-07T11:19:16Z |
Is it possible to filter requests in Explorer. For instance:

If I wanted to only show transactions that start with "P" or programs that start with "CS"?

OR maybe to NOT show any CICS provided transactions or programs (maybe with a check box similar to the Windows "add/remove programs" check box that can show (or not) windows updates)?

Thanks,

Kevin

ops, think I just answered my own question.

    Kevin,

There is actually quite a lot more filtering you can do if you need to. Filtering on the "Name:" attribute is only the default setting. You can select any (or all) of the attributes displayed in the View and these can be used together to make more complex filters,

This is described in the on-line help in the section The resource filter ( CICS Explorer User Guide > Tasks > Working with views > The resource filter )

Unfortunately you can only ask for the resources you do want, not the ones you do not.

Hopefully that will help answer any questions, if not please do ask.
    Cheers
    Dave

Thanks, Dave. I will look into that and other parts of the user guide.

      Regards,
