Pinned topic How to bind customer to project??

‏2009-05-29T11:28:14Z |
Hello! Please help me to solve the problem. I can't bind customers (from the section "Clients/Cost centers") to projects.

The only idea is to use portlet "Opportunity" and put customer's name in the field "external client". But ít means that clients must be put in manually.
I'd like to use the existing list of customers. How can I do it?

    Hi,

The other option is to use Custom Field.

Create a Custom Field of Input Type 'Datafield' e.g. CF_Customer & link it to a Datafield DF_Customer.
Update the list of customers in the values of Datafield DF_Customer.
With this you can avoid manually entering Customer name.

    Regards.

    Hi, Viblha!
    Thank you for your reply!

I've tried to create custom field.
    That's what I do:
    1) link custom field to datafield "Clients"
    2) at the column "Default value" I can see only two values: "Client Description" and "Primary Client Relationship"...
3)...so when I put the created custom field in the project record, I get a list which contains only above two values.

    Hi,

After your reply, I realized that this feature is not the standard RPM feature.
My client had custom code of RPM in which this feature was available.
I am sorry for the wastage of your time.

    Regards.
