Pinned topic Restore redirect 8.2 backup into 9.5 doesn´t work

‏2009-04-14T14:32:23Z |
Hi,
I try to restore and convert a 8.2 backup into AIX 9.5 with redirect option, but it always finished immediatly without any error and without restore anything.

First I thought it was a TSM problem, but after to dump the tsm backup to /tmp filesystem I have found that the problem persists.
This is my redirect script, with TSM option commented

  1. db2 restore db comer use tsm open 2 sessions to /db2/db2admin/COMER redirect without rolling forward
db2 restore db comer from /tmp to /db2/db2admin/COMER redirect without rolling forward
db2 "set tablespace containers for 1 using (path '/db2/db2admin/COMER/TEMPSPACE1')"
db2 "set tablespace containers for 2 using (file '/db2/db2admin/COMER/USERSPACE1/cont01' 5475400)"
db2 "set tablespace containers for 3 using (file '/db2/db2admin/COMER/IDXSPACE/cont01' 7198200)"
db2 "set tablespace containers for 4 using (file '/db2/db2admin/COMER/BLDSPACE/cont01' 775400)"
db2 "set tablespace containers for 5 using (file '/db2/db2admin/COMER/DATTYNSPC/cont01' 734900)"
db2 "set tablespace containers for 6 using (file '/db2/db2admin/COMER/IDXTYNSPC/cont01' 786100)"
db2 "set tablespace containers for 7 using (path '/db2/db2admin/COMER/TMP16SPC/')"
db2 restore db comer continue
any suggestion?
Thanks in advance and best regards

    Hi there,

Do you get any error message?

Also, if you have db2diag set to 3 or 4, there should be messages in the db2diag.log file indicating details about the problem.

Can you let us know the messages that you are getting?
    Thanks,

    Amyris.

In redirect script you have not mention SYSCATSPACE tablespace.
    Please add below and run.

db2 "set tablespace containers for 0 using (path '/db2/db2admin/COMER/SYSCATSPACE')"
