I'm installing a rhel 5.3 partition, it is hosted on a IBM i5 v6r1 partition.
I created a partition profile on the hmc, a network server description and a storage space.
In the network server description i specified *stmf as the ipl source.
The specified streamfile is: /qopt/RED_HAT/images/boot.iso (I can browse towards it with wrklnk)
However when i try to vary on the nwsd, it fails with a general error x 00000001 and no further information.

Re: RHEL 5.3 hosted installation issue2009-04-02T15:41:05Z in response to Maurits.hI found out that the partition profile of the hosting i5 partition was misconfigured.
It was configured with a virtual scsi server allowing any ppartition to connectt , this should be set to the linux partition only.
