This Morning we experiened an issue with Filenet Workplace where the site preferences spontaneously reset themselves to the default values on the 'General', 'Object Stores' and 'My Workplace' pages. No-one with Aplication Engine Administrator access was using the system at the time and there was no events logged in the Server Event viewer.
The issue was resolved by taking a copy of an older, correct version of the site preferences.xml file and checking it in again as the latest version and restarting The BEA Service.
Can anyone shed any light on how this reset may have happened with no user intervention. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Our system is
BEA Weblogic 8.15
Thanks in Advance

Re: Spontaneous Reset of Workplace Site Preferences2009-06-30T16:22:19Z in response to SystemAdminI have also ran into this problem. I was able to stop and start the workplace server, and things came back. But this happened to me twice in one day. Any thoughts on why this is happening?

Havenot found the root causes yet.
delete the new site preference file (marked as (1)),and restarted the AE, fixed issue.
