Pinned topic Maximo's demo site

‏2009-02-10T15:35:06Z |
Hello,

I'm Eric Tremblay, we need the Maximo site (the demo site http://previewmxes.mro.com/maximo) to give a presentation to our clients (Municipal Government).

We need to know the rules of utilization for the demo's site.
What we can change ?
What we can't change ?
If we create the data, how we can be sure that nobody changes it before our presentation ?

The sites with the modules Transport or/and Geomatics exists ?

If you can't give the responses, who I can contact to have it ?

Thanks
Excuse my english.

Éric Tremblay

    Bonjour Eric,

I'm a little perplexed as your email address indicates that you
work for IBM "eric_tremblay@ca.ibm.com". If this is the case,
would you not instead just download and install Maximo 7 for your
    customer demo?

Either way, the preview site is good to show simple tasks and
navigation of Maximo. As there is only one user account per
site, there are no guarantees that whatever "pre-work" you do
won't get modified or even deleted by other users.

On top of that, the preview site is restored to default settings on
a weekly basis so anything you enter will eventually be erased.

The preview sites really give an overview of the most commmon
functionality of Maximo. It's a teaser. If you want more...you
need to speak to a Maximo Sales Rep.

    Hi Eric, Hi Eric, MFP,
You can try to set this up there but there things that you will not be able to demo. Security settings, DB config, application designer, mea… in essence anything that could cause the demo to stop working.

And, if you so modify anything, they can be erased – altered by anyone on the planet. And as MFP stated it gets refreshed, every week? Wow.

Écoute, Il y a des gens qui pourrait t’aider si tu est a Montréal…

En tous cas, Bonne Chance avec ton demo!!

    Hi Frank-GBM

No RSS but you just gave me an idea. I will see if one exists. As for the site, I came across it one day while using Google.

I think I thread with a resource list would be a great idea for this forum.

    Cheers!
