I just installed SLES 9 SP4 on a JS21 blade. I wanted to install the update_flash script to update the BIOS. I looked at
but I don't find the Service Aids package as described in the documentation. (I do see it on the SLES 8 tab.) I have learned (from IBM Support) that the update_flash utility is now part of the ppc64-utils package which is being distributed by Novell as part of SLES9/SLES10. I verified that my installtion includes this package. The JS20 and JS21 documentation is incorrect as it directs you to the web site above and says nothing about ppc64-utils.

Thanks for the feedback, we really appreciate that :)
Could you please be more specific on which document did you find that issue? I was unable to find anything about "Service Aids" or "update_flash" on our User's guide, neither on the RelaseNotes...
Thanks in advance,

The instructions for installing the "Linux service aids" are in the BladeCenter JS21 Type 8844: Installation and User's Guide which came with the server. I also found it in the readme which accompanies the firmware:
