Pinned topic Unable to find Visual Configuration Explorer in the Collectors window

‏2008-11-26T09:52:34Z |
Hi, I am following the instructions for collecting the topology info and then import it into VCE, but I cannot see and thus, select, the Visual Configuration Explorer Topology Collector in the Collectors view of the Analyze Problem task (I can see the collectors for the rest of the products and the System Collectors)
I am running ISA Blue 4.0.02.02-blue.02 and the VCE 1.0.13.200811041219 product and add-on seem to be correctly installed, the VCE starts ok, etc.
Any hint ?

Thanks,

JSJ

    Hi,

The Topology Collector is a separately installed add-on.
    1. If you are running ISA for the first time, the Find New Product Add-Ons Wizard will be displayed automatically. (You can also add, update, and remove add-ons via the selections on the Update menu.) To install new add-ons afterwards, use "Update->Find new->Product add-ons".

    2. On the Product Add-Ons page, select (at a minimum) Others > Visual Configuration Explorer Topology Collector. Then click Next.

If the Topology Collector says it's already installed, uninstall it and reinstall again. To uninstall, use "Update->Manage installed add-ons". Expand "Installed product add-ons". Select the Topology Collector and then the "uninstall" task.
