I am new to the portl and protlet's, my requirement is to open a SAP portlet from another portlet using Single-sign-on. my question is wheather the SAP will provide the the portal and teh url for the respective protal or we have to design a portlet for the SAP using some API's
can any one help me

You have a range of options, including out-of-the-box SAP portlets from the IBM Catalog ( http://catalog.lotus.com ), using the WebSphere Portlet Factory SAP builders or using the WSRP ( Web Services for Remote Portals ), assuming that you're running the SAP portlets elsewhere.
