Pinned topic Issues in transferring messages from the POS system to the MQ in AS/400

‏2008-09-29T21:06:47Z |
Hi,

We have been facing an issue in our configuration of the MQ/MQe.

The configuration of the system is-

(1) There is a MQ (WebSphere MQ V5.3) that runs on the AS400 host with a MQ Bridge configured to get the communication between the MQ/MQe in place.
(2) The POS running OS4690 V5 acting as Master and File Server and GSA. It has the MQe (Version is 2.0.2.12) running on it.

We have a set of synchronous remote queues which are used for real time communication (Inquiry). The problem that we are facing is, the inquiry messages fails to reach the Host AS/400 system on random basis. The immediate attempt to make the inquiry again is successful.

The following error and exception is thrown everytime the message fails to make it to Host AS/400 MQ-

Error:
2008-09-25 14:54:32,976 Writing_Thread ERROR Writing_Thread - NOT ABLE TO WRITE to the Device RMSINQ8X

Can someone please provide us with some inputs on this issue.

Thanks.
