Pinned topic unixODBC --> ISeries Problem

‏2008-09-26T09:31:54Z |
Hello,

i try to get an ODBC connection from a OpenSuse Box to an ISeries DB2.

First i installed all required Software on my linux box (unixODBC, iSeriesAccess, ...).
After this i configured my odbc.ini:

AS400
Description = iSeries Access ODBC Driver
Driver = iSeries Access ODBC Driver
System = 10.64.2.1
UserID = USER
Password = PASSWORD
Naming = 0
DefaultLibraries = QGPL
Database = S65D4DBA
ConnectionType = 0
CommitMode = 2
ExtendedDynamic = 1
DefaultPkgLibrary = QGPL
DefaultPackage = A/DEFAULT(IBM),2,0,1,0,512
AllowDataCompression = 1
LibraryView = 0
AllowUnsupportedChar = 0
ForceTranslation = 0
Trace = 4

If i try now to connect with isql AS400 -v i got the following results:

srv-portal02:/etc/unixODBC # isql AS400 -v
---------------------------------------
Connected!

sql-statement
help tablename
quit

---------------------------------------

SQL> select EDOKIMP_ID from S654DBA.EDOKIMP
S0002unixODBCIBMiSeries Access ODBC DriverDB2 UDBSQL0204 - EDOKIMP der Art *FILE in S654DBA nicht gefunden.
ISQLERROR: Could not SQLPrepare
Maybe someone has a solution for this problem?
I have attached the trace log.

Is it correct to set the system parameter in odbc.ini to the ip-adress of my iSeries?
How can i check if i use the right DefaultLibraries on iSeries?

Thanks for help.
Christian

    Is it strange, I don't have any problem to connect to AS400 with isql. I can connect and execute query, but the only thing I can't do is connect throw PHP (using odbc function)

    Actually I have also open a thread on Gentoo Linux forum at this address:
    http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-651431.html
    if you can interest.
