Pinned topic ArgumentException occured

‏2008-09-23T08:42:54Z |
I'm developing an application using the NET Data Provider and DB2 Express-C database. The database is installed locally and the version info is (in swedish):

DB21085I Förekomsten "DB2" använder "32" bitar och DB2-kodnivån "SQL09050" med nivå-ID "03010107".
Informationselement är "DB2 v9.5.0.808", "s071001", "NT3295" och fixpaket "0".
Produkten är installerad vid "C:\Program\IBM\SQLLIB" med DB2-kopienamnet "DB2COPY1".

The code runs fine on a Windows 2003 Server English but throws an handled exception for each sql-statement executed on my local Windows XP SP3 Swedish machine. Exception detail:

Message (translated from swedish): "Could not find the requested value SELECT."
Source: "mscorlib"
Stack trace: System.Enum.Parse(Type enumType, String value, Boolean ignoreCase)

The handled exception is raised for SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE and DELETE.

Code to recreate the exception :

using (DB2Connection con =

new DB2Connection(
"Database=TMODEL;User ID=*****;Password=*****;"))
{ using (DB2Command cmd =

new DB2Command(
"SELECT ID FROM RS_ROOT_0", con))
{ con.Open(); IDataReader reader = cmd.ExecuteReader();
// Throws exception
}
}

All handled exception have to be a performance issue. Can you please help?

Regards,
Karl

    Hi Steve,

    Could you please check with "testconn" command to test the database connectivity of the DB2.NET data provider.
    Here is db2 info center link which you can refer for more details.

    http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/db2luw/v10r5/topic/com.ibm.swg.im.dbclient.adonet.doc/doc/r0059251.html

    And please provide the output of the "testconn" command.

    Thanks,
    Tapan
